Caffeinated Notes 1.0.1
Caffeinated Notes 1.0.1 release notes, plus direct downloads for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Release notes
Welcome to Caffeinated Notes on the desktop. This is the first public release of the desktop app, now running natively on Linux and Windows alongside the mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Fast capture, instant search
The editor opens in under a second and starts recording the moment you begin typing. Press Ctrl+N anywhere in the app for a new note, or launch straight into a new note from the command line. Full-text search across every note in every notebook, with matches highlighted as you type.
Rich editor, zero friction
Headings, lists, checkbox to-dos, code blocks, inline code, block quotes, and full rich-text tables with per-cell editing. Images and other attachments drop directly into a note; click an image to open a lightbox with zoom. Select a block of text and cast it to a heading, list, or code block with a single keystroke.
Notebooks and pop-out windows
Organize notes into notebooks, or leave them in the unorganized pool and rely on search. Any note can pop out into its own window so you can keep reference material visible while you work in the main list. When you quit, your open windows come back on next launch.
14-day free trial for sync
Sync across your devices and sharing on multi-user plans are free for 14 days, no payment details required. A countdown in the status bar shows how long is left. At the end of the trial you can pick a plan, or keep using the app locally on this device — your notes always stay yours, stored offline first.
Import from what you have
Import from Joplin or Synology Note Station — notebooks, formatting, attachments, and tables all come across. Paste rich text or HTML from the web and the formatting is preserved.
Export and print
Export any note or notebook to Markdown, including tables and image embeds. Print directly from the editor with accurate formatting.
Automatic updates
The app checks for updates in the background and offers a one-click download when a new version is available. A “What’s New” dialog appears after each upgrade so you know what changed.
